Questions and answers

What areas of Leeds do you cover?

We work across Leeds and the surrounding parts of West Yorkshire, including Headingley, Hyde Park, Horsforth, Chapel Allerton, Roundhay, Meanwood, Pudsey, Morley, Otley, Wetherby and Garforth. Remote help reaches anywhere in the UK.

How quickly can you help?

Remote sessions usually start within the hour during office hours. Onsite visits across Leeds are normally the same day or the next morning, depending on when you call.

Do you charge for a callout even if you cannot fix it?

We try remote first, which costs less and often resolves the issue without a visit. If we come out and the problem turns out to need a specialist or a replacement part, we will tell you plainly and you are not charged for work we did not do.

Do I need a contract?

No. Many clients call only when something breaks. Others prefer regular checks on backups, antivirus and updates so it is not left to memory. Both are fine and neither ties you in.

Do you support home users as well as businesses?

Yes, both. See home IT support for what that usually covers, or business IT support if you run a company.

Can you help if I am not confident with computers?

That is a large part of the job. No jargon, no rushing, and we are happy to explain something more than once.

What are your opening hours?

We operate with limited availability seven days a week, by appointment. Ring 0113 275 6610 or message 07488 389173 on WhatsApp and we will find a time.

Is my old computer worth repairing?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. A hardware check tells you before you commit any money, so you are not paying to fix a machine that should be replaced.

Can you move our email to Microsoft 365?

Yes. Existing mail, contacts and calendars can normally be migrated, including from older POP and IMAP accounts and from other providers.

Do you sell hardware?

We advise on what to buy and can help with sourcing and setup. We are not tied to any manufacturer, so the recommendation is based on what suits you rather than what carries a margin.

What happens to my data when you work on my machine?

It stays yours. We access only what is needed to fix the problem, we do not copy personal files, and remote sessions end when the work does. Our privacy policy sets out how we handle any information you send us.

Are you insured?

Yes, and we can provide details on request before any work begins.

Still unsure?

Describe the problem in plain words. You do not need to know the technical terms, and working out what is actually wrong is our job rather than yours.
